Obafunmilayo Agusto, B.SC, ACA

Funmi Agusto graduated with a Second Class (Upper) Honours degree in Mathematics from the University of Lagos and is a merit award winner of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.

He started his career at Arthur Andersen (now KPMG Professional Services) where he spent over eight years working in the Audit and Business Advisory units. In 1992, he left Arthur Andersen to co-found IBFC Limited (Business and Financial Consultants). At IBFC, Funmi was responsible for managing the financial services consulting, tax consulting, investment, and wealth management portfolios of the business.

In 1999, IBFC Limited merged with the business consulting department of Agusto & Co. Limited to form Alliance Consulting.

As the Managing Partner of Alliance Consulting, he consulted for several top banks, insurance companies, discount houses, and other leading companies in West Africa.

He is very knowledgeable about the Nigerian economic environment and its key business sectors.

Funmi is presently the Managing Director of IBFCAlliance Limited. He facilitates training programs in the areas of financial analysis, stock market analysis, asset and liability management, country risk analysis, credit analysis/risk management, and investment analysis/appraisal.
